Another year has past and because of all the generous donations throughout the year, Illinois Birddog Rescue was able to save, provide medical assistance, surgeries for those in need, or found loving homes for over 80 dogs! Thank you all.
for 2009. That less dogs be abandoned, neglected, or abused and our list of dogs in need, be fewer than the year's past.
Our Deepest Appreciation to the following people for their generous donations;

It's with a heavy heart that we accepted a very generous donation from Greg & Heidi Thomas-Dunn from Springfield, MO. ESRA Volunteer & Member, in the memory of little Maggie from Kansas.
Maggie was a setter that was pulled from a shelter by Springer Rescue and we were going to bring her to Illinois in a week or so. For unknown reasons, she passed away while spending the night at the vet's office.
A Brilliant Rainbow
By: My friend
High on whispered wings I fly,
a radiant star, I light the sky.
Toward the sun I soar so free,
a brilliant rainbow follows me.
I pulsate through your very soul
and in my paws your heart I hold.
The day will come when you'll fly too,
I'll be here then to welcome you.
Until the time we meet again
I won't journey far my friend.
For in your love I live so free,
a brilliant rainbow guiding me.
